In Australia the Yellow-breasted Boatbill is
restricted to north Queensland. ·
It is a flycatcher that forages mainly in the
middle storey of rainforests. ·
The male is mainly black and yellow, with a wide bill and often
a cocked
tail. · The call is a soft ‘pee-dee-dee-dee-wit’. · Usually in pairs, it is an active feeder in foliage. It also hawks flying insects. · Near Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodge it is moderately common. |
